Watch Dan Suwyn’s TEDxCreativeCoast 2010 Presentation
Dan Suwyn studies the brain: how it works, why it doesn’t and how a better understanding of its functions can lead to organizational success.
After 20 years as a journalist covering business and politics, Suwyn decided in 2005 to delve deeper into the link between brain science and good decisions. He became president of the RapidChange Group, a company of cognitive researchers, therapists and business executives now entering its 21st year of business consulting.
RapidChange specializes in tools that managers and employees use to execute successful mergers, speed major initiatives, resolve conflict and find innovative ways of “doing more with less.” More than 50 companies – from Fortune 500 manufacturers to high-tech start-ups – have used a better understanding of how people Think, Act & Feel to improve efficiency, increase profit and find innovative solutions.
Dan won numerous awards for his work with Gannett, Knight-Ridder, Landmark and Morris newspapers. He is a founder of The Excellence Fund for Public Education and is active in dignity issues through Savannah Chatham Citizen Advocacy, the Michael J. Fox Foundation and the Corporation Council for The Episcopal Church in Georgia. He and his wife, Kim, live in Savannah; their daughters are off accomplishing amazing things on their own.
