A Savannah native and oldest of three daughters, Ciara Yvette Campbell is a 2008 graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School. After graduation, Ciara chose to further her education at Clark Atlanta University where she is currently a rising junior studying Mass Media Arts with a concentration in Television Broadcasting.
Ciara’s middle school experience introduced her to several community theater programs including the Shuman Middle School Performing Arts Program, Union Mission’s “Hold Up”, and several of AWOL Inc.’s Theater Productions. During high school Ciara was an active member in the non-profit organization All Walks of Life Inc. Although she has always been a poet, it was her AWOL experience that provoked her to share her writing skills with the community.AWOL Inc provided Ciara with the well rounded atmosphere that promoted creativity, encourage individuality and inspired personal growth.Ciara credits the leaders of AWOL Inc along with her family for helping to mold her into the successful individual that she is today.
Today, Ciara continues to achieve academically as she has maintained a 3.6 GPA, remained on the Dean’s List throughout four consecutive semesters, managed to be active on campus as well as perform countless hours of community service. She currently serves as a Clark Atlanta University Admission’s Ambassador, CAU-TV Newsbreak student reporter, secretary for the N.A.A.C.P. Clark Atlanta University Collegiate Chapter, and a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society just to name a few.
